On June 29, 2022, the Import Substitution Forum was held in Krasnoyarsk. 200 entrepreneurs from 23 regions of the country came together to discuss ways to restore disrupted logistics routes, find alternative suppliers and new partners to replace EU companies.
Among the Forum speakers were representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Russian Export Center (REC), the Federal Competence Center for Labor Productivity (FCC), the International Center for Engineering and Innovation, the Moscow Innovation Cluster, the Skolkovo Business School and the British Higher School of Design. Representatives of the RAUIE regional branch also took part.
As part of the event, a solemn ceremony of signing a memorandum of cooperation between the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, represented by Alena Shvetsova, head of the regional branch for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Republic of Khakassia and the Republic of Tyva, and the Krasnoyarsk Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization "Business Russia", in the person of the head Anton Zherebtsov.
The memorandum was concluded with the aim of implementing Russian-Chinese investment projects, organizing joint events, creating conditions for concluding transactions, exchanging experience, research and business contacts, providing information and consulting support, and representing interests at major business events.
The forum also included business negotiations of small and medium-sized businesses with representatives of major companies such as Norilsk Nickel, Kraslesinvest, Krastsvetmet, SUEK, Novoangarsk processing plant, Lesosibirsky LDK No. 1 (Segezha Group), Medvezhiy Ugol ”(Zapolyarny mine) and the Krasnoyarsk railway.
The key areas of discussion at the forum were engineering and metalworking, agriculture, food industry, forestry, woodworking and pulp and paper industries.
