Deputy head of RAUIE Creative Industries Committee takes part in research seminar "Creative Economy"

Daria Kasyanova, Deputy Head of the RAUIE Creative Industries Committee, took part in the research and educational seminar "Creative Economy," held at the Central Institute of Economics and Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (CEMI RAS) in Moscow.

The seminar opened a series of research and practical events on the development of the creative economy in Russia and worldwide. The organizers were CEMI RAS, the POLIS Institute for Urban Development, the research agency Synopsis.Group, and the project and consulting company Novaya Zemlya.

The central theme of the meeting was an international study of external and internal factors influencing the formation of creative entrepreneurs in different regions. The research team aims to find measurable tools for assessing the human potential of creative industries and to understand what conditions increase the likelihood of a sustainable creative class emerging.

The program covered:

• Interdisciplinary approaches and tools for the creative economy
• Psychological and cultural-value prerequisites for the development of creative ecosystems
• Human potential of cities
• A large‑scale survey of entrepreneurs of different age groups, including representatives of creative industries under the UNCTAD classification

The development of the creative sector depends not only on support for individual projects, but also on the quality of the urban environment, human resources, entrepreneurial culture, and links between business, education, research centres, and development institutions.

Participation in the seminar made it possible to align approaches with the research community and discuss how scientific data can serve as a foundation for more precise decisions in the field of creative industries.
