China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) is China's largest state-owned corporation in the field of nuclear energy and one of the world's leading nuclear companies. Its headquarters are located in Beijing. CNNC has a complete production chain in the nuclear industry, ranging from uranium geological exploration and nuclear fuel production to the design, construction, and operation of nuclear power plants, as well as waste processing and nuclear research.
The flagship development of CNNC is the third-generation "Hualong One" reactor, which is already in operation both in China and abroad. As part of the Belt and Road Initiative, CNNC is building nuclear facilities in Pakistan (the Karachi and Chashma nuclear power plants) and is also implementing projects in Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other countries.
