A meeting between the RAUIE leadership, headed by Chairman Vitaly Mankevich, and the delegation of the Trade and Economic Representative Office of the Government of Shandong Province in Eastern Europe and Central Asia took place at the RAUIE headquarters in Moscow.
The Chinese delegation was led by Chief Representative of Shandong Province Qin Haifeng.

Key areas of cooperation:
1. Participation of Shandong Province in key Russian forums
RAUIE will integrate the Shandong delegation and enterprises into the largest business events of August–September 2026:
- "ROSTKI" Forum (Kazan, August) — session on financial and economic cooperation
- Eastern Economic Forum (Vladivostok, September 1–4)
- International Technology Congress (Moscow, September 8–10)
- Far Eastern Forum (Khabarovsk, September 4–6)
2. Furniture marketplace — filling the IKEA niche
Based on an existing IT platform, a furniture marketplace project is being developed with a referral system through architects and designers. Shandong enterprises can act as suppliers, co-owners, or licensees of the platform.
3. Localization of furniture production in Russia
RAUIE has recommended one of the Russian regions as a priority site for locating a furniture factory and logistics hub (direct rail connection, developed infrastructure, tax preferences). The Union is ready to assist in obtaining maximum benefits.
4. Projects in agriculture and natural resources
- Procurement and processing of peat and humic clays for fertilizer production
- Import of vegetable and fruit products from China

Shandong's trade turnover with Russia
In the first half of 2026, trade turnover grew by almost 7–8%, exceeding 120 billion yuan (~1.32 trillion rubles). Leading supplies include mechanical engineering (Sinotruk), agricultural machinery (Lovol), and agricultural products.
For RAUIE members, this opens up new opportunities:
- Direct contacts with one of China's largest industrial regions
- Access to projects on production localization and logistics hub development
- Priority information on trade missions and business events with Shandong
Relations between Russia and Shandong have every prerequisite for continued promising development. RAUIE helps its members stay at the forefront of these processes.
