The RAUIE regularly conducts analytical research in order to identify key trends and problems of Russian-Asian cooperation. The information obtained forms the basis for practical measures. Thus, on July 20, the RAUIE and Bank "Saint Petersburg" held a conference "Effective imports in the context of global inflation" for their members, clients and partners. During the event, a number of topics useful for doing business with Chinese partners were highlighted.
Maxim Kuznetsov, vice president of the RAUIE, noted that in 2020 and 2021, a record increase in prices for logistics from China began, associated with a shortage of containers, and increasing prices for semi-finished and finished products. For this reason, we decided to assemble a super-team of experts who will be able to tell everything about imports from China and the main problems associated with it.
Elizaveta Napokhvatskaya, representative of Bank Saint Petersburg, spoke about the financing of import transactions using a documentary credit as one of the most popular services for Russian importers.
Ms. Maya Man (Head of the RAUIE Representative Office in Shanghai, General Director of Shanghai ManYa Industry and Trade Co., Ltd), shared with the participants how to buy cheaper in the context of inflation, without loss in quality. "Currently, Chinese equipment is the best in the world in terms of price-quality-reliability ratio, and we help our customers to find the best equipment in China for free."
Alexander Gorkov, General Director of the Russian office of Heckney Group, highlighted the problem of optimizing logistics costs in China, noting the recent growth in demand for air delivery services. In conclusion, Mr. Liu Keqiang, representative of DHH Law Firm, spoke about legal nuances and the resolution of trade and economic disputes between Russia and China.
