The governor invited the leadership of RAUIE to participate in an event dedicated to the investment potential of the Kuril Islands. On behalf of the Union, the following Deputy Chairmen of RAUIE took part:
- Lubarto Sartoyo — Head of Cooperation with ASEAN Countries
- Lavlish Taneja — Head of Cooperation with India
The focus is on attracting businesses from friendly Asian countries — India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and other states of the Global South — to implement projects on the Kuril Islands.

What does this mean for businesses?
- Government support measures for investors (preferential regimes, tax benefits)
- Logistical proximity to Asia‑Pacific markets
- Projects in tourism, fish processing, logistics, and energy
RAUIE will continue to facilitate the attraction of Asian investments into Russian regions — from the Volga region to the Far East.
