The Russian labor market is experiencing an acute shortage of personnel — in the manufacturing industry alone, more than 800,000 workers are needed, while trade requires 1.5 million.
The government has submitted for ratification to the State Duma an agreement with India on the labor activity of citizens of the two countries, and RAUIE sees great potential in this.

According to the Embassy of India in Russia, 70,000–80,000 Indian nationals were working in Russia in 2025, with another 40,000 expected in 2026. The quota for visa‑dependent countries stands at 278,940 people, of which India accounted for approximately 71,800 places last year. However, the potential is much higher: Denis Manturov stated that Russia is ready to accept an unlimited number of Indian specialists.
RAUIE continues to monitor the development of labor migration and support businesses in matters of attracting personnel from friendly countries.
