RAUIE expands its presence in ASEAN

A meeting was held at the RAUIE head office in Moscow between Vitaly Mankevich, Chairman of the Union, and the following participants:

• Lavlish Taneja, Deputy Chairman of RAUIE, Head of Cooperation with India;
• Lubarto Sartoyo, Deputy Chairman of RAUIE, Head of Cooperation with ASEAN Countries.

During the meeting, further steps were discussed to develop Russia's foreign economic ties with the countries of the Global South.

Important development: RAUIE has a new ambassador (representative) for the ASEAN region — Amérigo Tatel Vargas, who will strengthen the Union's presence in the area (Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, etc.).

Key areas of cooperation:

• Investment and localization in Russia — attracting foreign investment, establishing joint production facilities, localizing technologies and manufacturing capacities in the Russian Federation.
• MICE and events — organizing exhibitions, business missions, B2B meetings.
• Finding a local partner — verification, negotiation support.
• Market entry consulting — legal entity setup, certification (HALAL, CE, EAC), marketplace support (Lazada, Shopee), trademark registration.
• Analytics — rapid analysis, industry reviews, competitor analysis.
• Finding sellers/buyers — long and short lists with decision-makers, tender procurement.
• Export support — contract review, translation, claims management.
• Certification and patents — export licenses, import permits, PCT applications.
• Logistics — route optimization, customs brokerage.
• Taxes and customs — preferential agreements, currency control.
• Science and education — finding partner universities, technology transfer.
• Creative economy — promotion of film, music, games, fashion, touring.
