On April 26, an online conference "Russian-Chinese Export-Import Forum" was held. The event was aimed at promoting the development of trade between Chuvashia and China in the field of non-resource non-energy exports and technological re-equipment of companies.
Grigory Danilov, Head of the Export Support Center of the Chuvash Republic, made an opening speech. He said that China is the first country in terms of export volume for Chuvashia. “We want to see the number of our entrepreneurs working with China grow.”
Maya Man, head of the RAUIE representative office in Shanghai, spoke about the possibilities of modernizing production and increasing the volume of exports: “We have launched a program for free equipment search for Russian entrepreneurs. When buying equipment from China, Russian entrepreneurs most often face the following problems: unreliable supplies, problems with components, poor quality of goods. But with the right approach, cooperation with China can be very beneficial. We successfully deal with problems that may arise with international deliveries. These include language barriers, unreliable contractors, expensive logistics and legal complications. ”
Vice-presidents Maxim Kuznetsov and Susanna Mkrtchyan spoke at the conference on behalf of the RAUIE.
“The Chinese market needs a high-quality technological transition, as a result of which the demand in the domestic market will grow. These are new opportunities for Russian importers. With the improvement in living standards, the demand for quality food products has increased. Russia is one of the most important suppliers of agricultural products to China, and Chuvashia is one of the leaders in the production of agricultural products in Russia, which will attract Chinese investments to the republic”. Suzanna Armenovna also spoke about the opening of the Russian food products pavilion in China and the possibility of organizing exhibitions free of charge in it.
Vice-President of the RAUIE Maxim Kuznetsov shared his opinion on Chinese electronic platforms success. “You need to clearly understand that although the Chinese market is growing and has large financial resources, you need to understand what your advantage is. You should clearly build your strategy for 2-3 years ahead. You can start with sales through electronic marketplaces or RAUIE pavilions in Chinese provinces, reach a certain export volume, and then move on to contract manufacturing and investment in production there”. Maxim so noted that one should not forget about marketing, since Chinese consumers still do not know enough about Russian brands, and they have to compete for the Chinese consumer with the largest Western corporations, which are actively investing in their marketing.
