On April 22, a presentation of trade and economic cooperation between Yunnan Province and Russia took place at the Metropol Hotel. The event brought together key players from both sides: the Chinese delegation was led by Hao Yishan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Commerce, with representatives from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation and heads of leading companies also in attendance.

Vitaly Mankevich, Chairman of RAUIE, delivered a welcome speech and emphasized the region's importance for Russian business:
"Yunnan is not just a Chinese province – it is a strategic gateway to ASEAN countries. The region has a strong production base in green energy, biomedicine, agriculture, and cross-border logistics. And most importantly – Yunnan is open to investing in Russian projects and localizing production in Russia. This is a direct path to creating joint ventures and new jobs."
The program also included:
- Presentations by key Chinese companies (Yunnan Yusheng Bio-Pharmaceutical, Lincang Xingshun Import & Export);
- A series of bilateral negotiations;
- Networking sessions.
On the sidelines of the event, there was an exchange of views on a number of issues with Alexey Zabegaev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Smolensk Region Government to the Government of the Russian Federation.
Participation in the event provided RAUIE members with:
- Real negotiations – Union members took part in B2B sessions, directly communicating with senior executives of Chinese companies.
- New markets – access to cooperation with a province that serves as a bridge to Southeast Asia.
